HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER TO BE SHIPPED TO ME?
Just pick out the trees you want from our availability list. Need some help choosing? Plug in your desires and narrow down your choices using our ‘SAP APP’. See the top menu “CHOOSING A JAPANESE MAPLE”  on our website.  This app is EXCLUSIVE to Davidsan’s. It’s not perfect but gives both parties an idea of what trees might work. You can email your list to us through the website or at info@davidsansjapanesemaples.com. We will then send you a pre-invoice to look over. It will have the total amount, shipping if applicable, and info on how to make a payment.
You should look over that Pre-Invoice/ Price Quote and add or subtract trees or change sizes. Approve that pre-invoice/price quote and we’ll send you a PayPal invoice. It’s EASY to pay even if you don’t have a PayPal account. You can change or add to your order at any time until 4 days before shipping. We can’t ship your order until it is paid in full.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY TREES?
We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays so your trees won’t ever sit in a truck over a weekend. We are within two day delivery of most of the country.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES AND GUARANTEES FOR SHIPPED TREES?
We will not send trees without at least viable buds or leafing started and will not sell damaged trees or trees we think are substandard or too young to survive. Davidsan’s warrants and guarantees all plants will arrive at your door alive and in good condition. If your box has visible damage, don’t refuse the package, but make sure the delivery person makes a notation of the damaged box.
Be sure to document it yourself by taking a picture of the box before you open it and after opened with tree inside. Unpack and carefully remove your trees from the box – again – carefully! We spend a lot of time carefully packing your tree to assure it travels well. We require photos of any tree damage before a refund or adjustment is allowed. We are proud to say that we have very little damage during shipping. Small twigs or incidental small branches are not considered damage unless we consider it critical to the tree’s long term look or survival.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CHOOSE MY TREES WHEN I VISIT DAVIDSAN’S?
Come as you are and you are free to pick out any trees from our stock of 6000+ trees. If you know which trees you want, just email a list to us, we’ll verify your choices and IF you want us to flag those trees for you, we’ll send a PayPal invoice for a deposit (25%, minimum $50) and they will be flagged and reserved for you.
HELPFUL NOTE:
If you are planning to buy a large tree, or many trees we recommend renting an ENCLOSED trailer of proper size. ASK US WHAT SIZE YOU WILL NEED.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING AN OPEN TRAILER OR ONE WITHOUT A TOP ON IT. When we see these coming we wince. It a recipe for disaster except for very short trips like 25 miles. We will load you up, wrap trees if necessary and get them safely into trailer.  You must have a tow hitch and light kit to rent a trailer, but they are super cheap if rented round trip and have no mileage cost.  Most can actually be towed with a van or even a medium sized car easily ’cause they are light weight even with a bunch of trees in them. Remember most larger trees will have to be laid down, but in a 16×12 trailer many can stay upright.
BE AWARE THAT RENTING ONE WAY FROM SPRINGFIELD IS IMPOSSIBLE
We will also advise you on type of vehicle to bring and whether it will work with the type and size of tree(s) you are interested in. Most trees under 7 gals and some 10 gal and above will fit in a SUV, a hatch-back vehicle, a station wagon, or a van if the seats come down and you don’t have kids in the back seat. We have put medium sized trees in mini coopers SAFELY.
If you can, please call or email a day or so before you visit so we can be prepared for you and what hours are best for a smooth experience.
WHEN CAN I COME AND VISIT?
We are open regular retail hours daily from April 1 through October 31.  Mon-Sat 10-6, Sun 12-5.  Just come out and see them if you need a day of beauty and awe.

SPECIAL INFORMATION
We might have time to send you a photo of trees you are going to order, but only larger trees 10 gal and above, and no photos are possible at all until the trees have leaves. We can’t send jpegs of smaller trees and suggest that if you do not trust us, please buy in your local area. We will only pick out the best for you.

We unfortunately do NOT have much time to suggest trees for you but we will try. We have a small staff and we are all super busy. Try our sap app above in pull-down menu under choosing trees.
If you’re just fishing for prices, we suggest you look elsewhere. You can usually find a cheaper price, but realize that generally means an un-cared for tree, blindly picked out by low paid workers. Your choice.
