This tree is not for beginners. It is a truly unique tree that is exceptionally touchy . But with the proper care and ideal conditions it will reward it’s grower with astounding beauty throughout the season . Best keep it in a container in mostly shade (dappled shade best) with a good drainage medium and watch the watering and the sun. Delicate, finicky, touchy, a tree with an attitude ( my way or the highway) are just some terms and expressions that fit it well. But for those with experience with JM’s or that like a challenge …go for it cause if you are successful it is well worth it
