Davidsan

This is our namesake tree. It is a chance Atropurpureum seedling (which is the mother tree to many JM cultivars) that really grew on me as it aged!! . It is a very slow grower. the JM  is a very open sructured tree with an outward horizontal branching sturucture that is compact and upright. It's amber hairy slightly puffed up leaves are stunning throughout the season with a blaze of crimsom red in fall that is boggeling .This is a truly special tree that has withstood 20 below temps and the freeze of '06 with no damage whatsoever. The mother tree is 16 years old and about 10' tall . I will have only small size plants of this for several years. If you would like more photos please let me know .
