This is one of the better variegates with good growth and spirited color throughout the season. It is also know as the “Rising Sun Maple”. As with most variegates of this type the variegation will vary a bit from leaf to leaf branch to branch which I personally find cool but if you have a symmetrical ( read anal) personality you may not appreciate it’s beauty like I do . Best with morn sun and afternoon shade as it is with all of it’s brethren. A truly cool tree. Seems to be a bit less hardy than some zone 6 for this one!!
