Acer palmatum Jiro Shidare

Acer palmatum Jiro Shidare

One of the two true weeping uprights along with Omureyama  that is hardy and fast growing ...get this for form but also has nice color too . An all around great tree that likely wont outgrow its "place". It's is smaller than Omureyama in both height and width.. It weeps earlier and often and weeping is not on a broad tree more upright and towering weeping form .. very cool... can be trimmed to stay shorter and be a broader shorter tree. It has become one of my favorite cultivars  as I have seen it grow and take cold and heat well and has great form and color. I now consider this a must have tree
