A very dark almost black red cultivar in spring becoming more red bronze in summer and a spectacular fall show of bright bright red. It is a smaller tree than a Bloodgood and much more colorful and most often produces lots of samara ( seeds). It is a medium sized upright red of great character and form. Similar to Nuresagi but with small leaves .. a spectacular specimen tree . There is also a dissectum Nigrum that is totally different
