Gordlinia franklinia x gordonia Gordlinia grandiflora
This 2002 hybrid of Franklinia Alatamaha and Gordonia lasianthus (cleverly named using a hybrid of the two names) x Gordlinia grandiflora has BIG white flowers larger than either parent, and has bright yellow centers. Fall color is orange to maroon. Very fast growing, reaching close to 20 feet after only 2 growing seasons. Zone 7 hardy to zero degrees.
